Odessa Barb's come from the waters of south east Asia, specifically Myanmar. These fish are a shoaling species and will do best in groups of 6 or more. They are extremely unique in coloration for males specifically, and slightly less colors to the females. Females are also smaller than males on average.
Odessa's make a great addition to a community tank, are extremely active and peaceful as well. You make see short-term aggressive between males here and there but nothing to become worried over.
The waters where they come from are slightly acidic, and lots of plants around to feed off of.
